ESPN APIs Now Available

A friend of mine pointed out ESPN is allowing access to their vault of data information, so I’m hoping to get a stats app going that will have access to a collection of stats of NFL players. Much like the comprehensive stats breakdown in Softball Stats Pro, I want to create an app to answer random stats questions.

Without a “premium” key I’ll be limited to just headlines at first, but this should allow me time to build a proper looking app taking into account the improvements added into AndroidOS 4.0+ (Ice Cream Sandwich).

I’d love to build an iOS app as well, but limits on my budget make that unlikely. For now, expect an AndroidOS app that can easily be ported to BlackBerry Playbooks.
